DUROXITE, superlative of abrasion resistance

New from SSAB, the makers of HARDOX, is Duroxite: a welded-on plate that is easy to process in places where, among other things, sliding and/or abrasive wear of highly abrasive materials is a problem and long life of wear parts is crucial.

The standard-quality DUROXITE 100 sheet has as its base a normal-steel sheet that is machine-coated with a hard-up weld. This high-quality, wear-resistant weld layer consists of chromium carbide, among others, and has a hardness of up to 57 HRC.

The same hardoplas quality is also available with a HARDOX 450 material as base plate.
The advantage of this is that, in case of unexpected local wear and tear, wear-resistant base material always remains to protect the structure.

For extreme applications, up to a maximum hardness of 65 HRC can be supplied. DUROXITE sheet can be used at temperatures of up to 350°C. Depending on the type selected, up to even 600° C.

DUROXITE is to combat wear under extreme conditions in the mining, ore and coal-processing, asphalt and cement industries, recycling, etc. versatile application on landfill points, chutes, screens, linings for landfill bunkers, crushers, fans, etc.

DUROXITE is made in various thickness compositions and available in sheet form or as a cut product. For installation, fitted with hole pattern or with stud welding bolts on the back for easy mounting.
