Do not be alarmed: the Kekeisen UBF-3000, the last but certainly not the very last milling machines at Geha Laverman, but the beastiest ever installed. A milling beast weighing no less than twenty tonnes, for which all the space - over fifty square metres! - was cleared for it. But then it is very welcome!
This particular milling beast really eats out of hand and knows a lot of tricks by heart.
The UBF 3000 is one of the latest generation of milling machines that takes precision and ergonomics quite a step further. For example, the machine can be operated from two sides. What makes the UBF really special are the numerous options - Geha Laverman bought them all right away. For instance, the angle at which milling can be done is fully adjustable and tools are changed fully automatically.
Alongside the other milling machines, this is already the third Kekeisen - there are already two in the milling hall. With the newcomer, we hope to cope with the rapidly growing demand for so-called 'specials' (see also the interview in this HARDCOPY). More and more industries are appreciating the special properties of HARDOX. After being installed this month, this beast can sink its hungry teeth into all kinds of particularly tough hard-wearing chunks. At Geha Laverman, we'll make sure it doesn't miss out on anything.
