Thanks to our unique location right on the North Sea Canal, we enjoy the passing fleet of luxury cruise ships, voluminous ore and coal tankers and gigantic car carriers almost every day.
Once every five years, the entire history of world shipping sails past our window because that is when SAIL Amsterdam is organised.
This year, the SAIL-in parade - the entry of all participating ships - is on 19 August. That means celebration for all employees and family at Geha Laverman. With ample views of the most impressive Tallships from all over the world, we will make it a cosy day with snacks and drinks.
SAIL Amsterdam is being organised this year from 19 to 23 August. During that period, at least six hundred ships will sail through the North Sea Canal to eventually moor in the IJhaven.
